In 2005, David & Diana (husband/wife) started Small Batch in San Francisco, California. Small Batch says, “The way the food is raised, grown, and harvested plays a pivotal role in not just the health of our pets, but also in the health of our planet.”
Their foods only contain:
- All-Natural, Humanely Raised and Harvested, Hormone & Antibiotic-Free Meats
- Pasture-Raised Beef (Oregon/California), Pork (Washington) and Lamb (Colorado/California/Oregon)
- Free-range Duck, Chicken & Turkey (California) and Rabbit (Iowa)
- They maintain a No Mechanically Separated Meats Policy
- Certified Organic, non-GMO, Pesticide-Free, Fresh, Whole Vegetables (Washington/Oregon/California)
- Organic, unfiltered, raw Apple Cider Vinegar, 100% Pure Wild Alaskan Salmon Oil, and sustainably harvested organic Icelandic Ocean Kelp.
- Non-synthetic supplementation from herbs like Basil, Oregano, Thyme and Bee Pollen (California)
The foundation of their business is in the sourcing. They only partner with locally procured ranchers and farmers that maintain transparent food policies and that are committed to providing leadership in sustainability and land stewardship.
