Constipation

Chronic dehydration (often from a dry food diet) as well as mineral imbalances and emotional stresses can contribute to constipation. While fiber may help somewhat, dogs and cats have much shorter digestive tracts than people and fiber is not as beneficial for them as it is for us. Digestive enzymes, probiotics, increased moisture in the diet, decreases in starches and emotional considerations are the most beneficial. For assistance click our consultation box.
