Pica

Pica (tendency to ingest inedible materials) is caused by nutritional deficiencies, or may be a symptom of disease. When a pet is unable to absorb nutrients properly, has a nutrient imbalance, is starving, eats poor quality food or is in a disease state, the body will attempt to compensate by seeking nutrients in non-edible sources. Rebuilding the health of the digestive system, assisting with nutrient assimilation and offering the highest quality, least processed food available resolves the issue quickly. In some cases additional supplementation is necessary. For assistance click our consultation box.
