Donation Drop at Hero’s Pets
Hero’s Pets is proud to partner with Colorado Pet Pantry and Pets of the Homeless to serve as a donation drop center for pets in need. These incredible organizations ensure that essential supplies are distributed to multiple shelters, families, and individuals, making sure that pets across our community have access to the items they need most. Their dedication to sharing resources equitably ensures that no pet is left behind.
About Colorado Pet Pantry
Colorado Pet Pantry is a nonprofit organization that works tirelessly to help families and shelters care for their pets by providing food and supplies. By collecting donations and distributing them to pet food banks, shelters, and rescue organizations across the state, they help reduce pet relinquishment to shelters and keep beloved pets with their families. The organization’s mission inspires us to do more for the pets and people in our community.
What Can You Donate?
Hero’s Pets accepts a wide range of items to support these efforts, including:
- Pet Foods: Gently used or new pet foods (including opened packages) for dogs and cats.
- Treats & Chews: Any unopened or safely stored treats and chews.
- Medications: Over-the-counter pet medications that are unexpired.
- Blankets & Bedding: Gently used or new blankets, towels, and bedding. Please wash these items before donating.
- Accessories: Bowls, collars, harnesses, leashes, and toys.
- Cleaners & Miscellaneous Supplies: Pet-safe cleaners and other pet-related products.
Donation Guidelines
- Clean & Safe: For gently used items like bedding, bowls, or apparel, please ensure they are washed prior to donation.
- Health Considerations: Please do not donate items used by pets with contagious diseases or items that caused illness in your pet.
- Tax Deduction Forms: While Hero’s Pets cannot provide tax forms directly, we can provide a detailed list of your donations upon request. Tax deduction forms must be obtained from Colorado Pet Pantry.
How It Works
Hero’s Pets serves as a drop-off location for donations, making it easy for you to give back to pets in need. Donations are picked up once or twice a week by representatives from Colorado Pet Pantry.
Please note that Hero’s Pets cannot accept monetary donations for these organizations. However, your contributions of food and supplies make an enormous difference in the lives of countless pets and their families.
